Heyyy. What's good today. How are you?Welcome back to the blog.Nice to see and have you here.
Today we review a book by Trevor Noah ,Born a Crime. This book has been on my to read list for some time now and I am happy that the chance and opportunity to read it presented itself.
It is an autobiography and truth be told Trevor has given complete justice to his story on this one.Born as a biracial kid (Xhosa mother and Swiss father) ,Trevor was an outsider from the beginning. He didn't really belong and mark you this was during apartheid South Africa so you know it was bad bad.
This memoir takes us through his south african roots and how that has shaped him to who he is today,a living icon.He survived and thrived to become a success and inspiration.
The book carries heavy stories but it is actually a funny read.He has portrayed hardships in such a candid and heartfelt way.
"The first thing i learned about having money was that it gives you choices.People do not want to be rich. They want to be able to choose. The richer you are the more choices you have. That is the freedom of money."
"Language even more than colour, defines who you are to people."
It is how he gives credit to his mother every chance he gets.Sure she is far from perfect but she is an amazing woman.
The flawless content is written so effortlessly. The book is hilarious. It is an enjoyable book.I really loved this book.
You should grab your copy.It is a great read.
That's it for this book.I hope to see you on the next review but until then, stay safe.Lots of Love from me.Take care of you and your mental health.Bye ❤️
