Hello.Welcome back.I am Esther.How are you today?We are reviewing the book by Colleen Hoover.

I came across this book from IG stories by one of my followers.I later stumbled on it again on a post by a Filipino actress i follow, Kathryn Bernardo.I knew i had to read it.At first i thought it was your typical happy-ever after story but i guess Colleen had other plans.

It Ends With Us  is a beautifully written book.It took me through a plethora of emotions and even now,long after i done finished reading the book i can still feel those feelings i felt while reading it months ago.

The book tackles the subject of domestic abuse and gaslighting so well and especially how hard it is to face those kinds of challenges.It gives us a point of view of exactly how people going through or have gone through this kind of trauma really feel.

"It is easy when we're outside to believe that we could walk away without a second thought if a person mistreated us.It is easy to say we couldn't continue to love someone who mistreats us when we aren't the ones feeling the love of that person."

Colleen Hoover builds up the story so that we feel every emotion that the protagonist ,Lily Bloom ,feels.The book broke me.I found myself bawling in the middle of the night.It HURT.I am, however,glad that I read the book because I have learned so much.I am especially proud of Lily because she chose to end a cycle of violence.

"Cycles exist because they are excruciating to break.It takes an astronomical amount of pain and courage to disrupt a familiar pattern.Sometimes it seems easier to just keep running in the same familiar circles, rather than facing the fear of jumping and possibly not landing on your feet."

Colleen had me hooked on this one.It  is packed with truths that are painful to bear.I highly recommend it to everyone whether you love this genre or not.I am super excited for the highly anticipated sequel that comes out later this year, it Starts with us.
