THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO.

Hello and welcome back.How are you doing?Today we review one of my favorite novels of all time,The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

It is a novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid.it is a historical  fiction that traverses the life of Hollywood star, Evelyn Hugo.The book takes us through the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood through our main lead.I remember telling my friend Lizzie that I felt as if i was one of the PAs tasked with Evelyn and that automatically gave me a front seat to see this movie that was her life.

Evelyn was daring to say the least.She went for whatever she had set her mind to.She was strategic.She had everything planned out,even her death!She lives by her own terms and dies on her own terms.Life is really what you make off of it.Evelyn proves that.

She was a ride or die for her friends.Her friendship with Harry was what i would want my friendships to be like.I think Evelyn deserved more especially with the love of her life,Celia.The aspect of time really played tricks and treats on them.

She inspired Monique Grant,a journalist she choose personally to write and tell her story to the world when she is gone.I especially related with Monique when she realized and I quote,

"Why until this moment,did i not realize that the issue is my own confidence?That the root of my problems is that i need to be secure in who i am to tell anyone who doesn't like it to go and fuck themselves?Why have i spent so long settling for less when i know damn well the world expects more?"

This particular line and so many others from the book live rent free in my mind and in my notebook.

There was a certain power that I felt when reading the book.Evelyn probably expects us to hate her as she tells the story but i love her.

This book is so good.I absolutely LOVED IT.I know you will and so if you want to get lost in an incredible book,this is it.Grab your copy.
