THE ART OF JOURNALING
THE ART OF JOURNALING.
Hi tribe. It's been a long minute. How are you?
I am okay,at least when everything is considered. Also,i am in the final leg of my undergrad and i am so happy and really grateful. It's been a wholesome journey.
One paper to write and I'll be done with my undergrad.
Let's get into today's topic,shall we?
Journaling is the activity of keeping/recording daily experiences. It is writing down your thoughts and feelings to understand them more clearly.
I started journaling seriously in 2021 and it's been a such a reflective journey to be on.

I don't think there is a right or wrong way of Journaling. There is no right or wrong time for journaling. It is more about the environment you are in while journaling.I like journaling when it's quite and calm.
I journal anytime i feel that i have stuff to say.It is been days of internal self reflection and i love every bit of it.
I do all kinds of journaling i.e using prompts, diary entries, prayer journaling, manifestation journaling, gratitude journaling etc.I enjoy writing my thoughts down and making them known to God and the universe.
Writing your thoughts down is freeing. It provides clarity because our thoughts let's you know what you are thinking. With clarity comes specificity. When journaling, you become particularly specific on what you want and how you are going to achieve it.You are able to monitor your intentions and goals.
"Make a habit of writing down the things you want to see in your life.Write them in detail, with specific dates ,and see what happens." - Yvette Ratshikhopa(Twitter)

If you haven't started writing your thoughts and dreams, this is the sign you need to start.Just do it.You just need a pen and a notebook to start your journaling journey. You can also do it digitally using your phone or laptop.
I'll leave you with these writings about journaling that i came across the other day.
THE POWER OF WRITING
The very act of writing something down gives shape to your thoughts.Seeing an idea or feeling set out on paper gives us new perspective and can help us to become more objective.Perhaps that idea we have been pondering really does have potential,or the worry we've been carrying is not serious after all.
Writing helps us to clear our minds. If we get the list of things we have to do out of our heads and onto paper, then our brains will have more space for important thoughts.Words bring our thoughts to life;so commiting our goals on paper makes it more likely that we achieve them. The same is true for our hopes and desires.
So grab a pen and remember, what you write is for your eyes only.
That's it for this week.I'll see you here next week.Let me know your thoughts on journaling and if you need my help or have a question, reach me via my socials @EstherMwelu_ on Twitter and @M.w.e.l.u_ on Instagram.
Keep warm.Stay safe.Be great.Be unstoppable
